The foreign exchange market, or FOREX as it is called, is a 2 trillion dollar financial market that is 30 times larger than all the US equity markets. This kind of volume combined with the technology of the internet has made forex trading available to just about anyone.
What is traded in the Forex Market? Currencies. These currencies are traded in pairs, meaning that a trader buys one currency while simultaneously selling another. For example, EUR/USD would be the Euro and US dollar. The exchange rate between these two currencies is always fluctuating depending on the economies involved.
It is fairly easy to find forex trading systems, courses, and software online. Brokers even offer mini accounts that allow newcomers to start small. Forex trading is not just about finding a profitable system though. Every trading method online will claim to be profitable, but still, 95% of new traders will lose money in the beginning. Just as important are other factors such as trading psychology, money management, and the personal discipline to develop the right habits for success. Even a trading system that is profitable 50% of the time (like flipping a coin) can earn you an income if you implement the right money management and discipline.Part of learning to trade forex, or any market for that matter, is to develop strategies that work for you, that fit your own personality and allow you to progress more smoothly on your journey.
